FAQs (The questions most frequently asked by our
customers)
How much does it cost? We charge £249+VAT
to set it up for you, configure it for you and support you as
you get used to handling the forum software and the price covers
the first years use. We charge £199+VAT per annum for
licensing, hosting and unlimited email and telephone support.
Can we have own design? The forum comes
with many designs which you can choose and can be applied for
free. We can quote if you want a bespoke design for your own
Forum.
How quickly can it be setup? We can setup
and configure the forum within 48 hours, but it usually takes
2-3 weeks in our experience for you to be familiar with how to
use the software and moderate the forum.
Who looks after the forum? We look after
the overall technical settings but the day to day care
-moderating- is your responsibility.
What is a moderator? This is one or
several people in your organisation who are tasked with
overseeing the postings on the forum. Depending on the settings
you choose your moderator(s) will approve new registrations and
approve new postings or submissions to the forum before the
comments are visible to everyone else.
Is the forum secure? Yes. Access only by
password (if the option is selected) and by username and
password.
Can anyone post a message on the forum?
No. Every person has to be approved by a moderator, create a
username and password and then their posts will only be seen on
the forum if the moderator passes it as acceptable.
Is there a limit to how many people can use the
forum? No. But there is an overall limit of 10,000
posts per month onto the forum.
What about the polls options? The Forum
does have the facility to add Polls onto the threads posted on
the forum, this can be useful but is limited in scope and should
not be thought of as a full survey system.
Can we stop a person using or posting to the forum?
Yes. A Moderator can remove a person from the Forum, and remove
any posting that has been put on the forum at anytime. The
persons IP address can also be blocked.
Can the forum be turned ON and OFF? Yes.
The forum can be halted, blocked or removed at anytime. The
forum can be enabled when required.
Can people post anonymously? (Anonymous posting is
usually discouraged.) Yes. But their username and
email will be known to the moderator those details can be hidden
from the general users of the forum.
